I don't fly all that often and haven't used Easyjet this millennium......

But we are gong a bit further than normal this summer and they have the most convenient flights. It will be me, two teenagers and suitcases. Can't do carryon only for 6 days away.

Top tips please!

I remember the scrum for boarding! Very glad to hear that is a thing of the past

Maybe no scrum but constant stopping and slow moving queues with people messing with cases.

Yes we always wait till the end to board (esp as we have small restless DC)

EasyJet is my favourite budget airline. So much better than Ryanair. Just make sure you check whether you are allowed any hold luggage before you go. Me and DH flew easyJet with a miniature suitcase and two back packs over Christmas and all was allowed in the cabin, but I would check before you go.

Also the cheese and ham toastie is delicious.

Buy a Boots meal deal in the airport before you go - sandwich, crisps and drink for less than a fiver. Spend the money saved on little bottles of wine on the plane!

swissgemma would i need to do that if i have handluggage plus a handbag?

Definitely pay for speedy boarding at the airport - I went last weekend to Barcelona and meant I could check in my hand luggage case (mine weighed 12kg) with toiletries in as it was going in the hold (no size limit on them) and a handbag to carry on (has to be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you) with my small see through plastic bag for my makeup in to go through security - so you're not as limited on your liquids. It was a fiver each way and meant we could go in the speedy boarding queue and didnt have to struggle fitting case in overhead lockers or stuffing hand bag into case just before boarding. Your case should also be first off. If you're picking a seat go towards the front of the plane as that's where they start the drinks and food service ;)

You are only allowed one hand luggage bag (unless you pay extra for up front seats) so your handbag would need to go in your bag. The cheap bag check is only at the check in desk (before security). Don’t get caught with extra bags at boarding as The cost to check is astronomical!

We use hands free instead of buying a hold case in advance works our much cheaper (I have also added a hands free roller case when I have had prebooked checked luggage too)
