Hello

We're thinking of taking our (just) three year old to Chessington World of Adventure. I just wondered has anyone been recently and if so was it worth it?

Also would you have any tips for having a great time there?

Thanks

It's a bit manic.. maybe somewhere simpler /younger? V expensive too.

Chessington is the best Tussauds Park (and the cheapest) for that age group. They have some small rides which would be suitable. They also have a ride which takes you over the top of the animal enclosures which he/she would probably enjoy. You can also walk round the zoo area which would probably be entertaining. If the weather is good then take a picnic as there is quite a big grassy area (I think with some picnic tables). Check lastminute.com as they often have discounted tickets. Legoland is also good for that age group.

I should have added go during term time (although they might have school groups visiting) it should be a lot quieter.

they have made it much more for the younger age group now (although they obviously do have rides for adults too) - and Alton Towers more for the older age group.

If you go with friends you can take it in turns going on the grown up rides while the others 'babysit' - they let you do 'parent swap' (you all queue, one waits with child/children while other goes on ride then you swap without re-queuing)

Dont go during school holidays.

It's fantastic! The Land Of The Dragons is DSs favorite part. There is a huge soft play area and a bit that is rope bridges raised up in pretend trees, with a slide and tunnels.

If you are going on your own with LO on a week day, look into the mother and toddler days IIRC, entry is £11 instead of the usual £30+.
