Travel and weight worries!

Hey all!

So it’s my second baby 👶🏻🎉 we are over the moon, BUT I’m an anxious wreck this time round- my daughter is 4yrs old and amazing I don’t know why I’m worried so much, I’ve paid for an early scan just the other day, I was 9+5 and baby was moving and perfect, having a lovely strong heartbeat which I was allowed to record. My sonographer put me at a 1% risk of miscarriage now, my bloods, urine and midwife have made me feel happier and said it’s safe to travel (going to Cyprus for a week) as long as I drink water and walk / move legs on plane as I’m over weight and my BMI is high.
I’ve had lots of reassurance but I’m still so worried about it!
Have many of you actually been abroad before 12wks? I have my scan date booked with the NHS 6 days after we get back...
I mean people live in hot countries have babies! Haha but being a Brit we aren’t used to the heat Grin
Just after some reassurance from ladies who have been away before and had no problems....
Thanks Flowers

If worried about dvt you can buy special socks from Boots. I haven’t heard otherwise of any risks from flying in early pregnancy and I remember looking when pregnant at studies of thousands of flight attendants. If you have morning sickness though that might be particularly unpleasant when flying. Drink lots whilst you’re over there to avoid any dehydration.

I flew weekly between weeks 4 and 30. DS is sitting next to me eating a crumpet :)

Walk around, drink lots of water and wear compression stockings.
