Dh myself and dsd (15) are looking for a holiday in July. Due to my work commitments I have a very short window so can only do a week in July.

It's our first holiday all together, criteria for dsd, sun, water, water park, food.

Myself, not too rowdy, beautiful sea views a breeze and easy to find good food.

Dh is happy with all of the above. Dh and I love Greece, dsd has only ever been to the canaries so we'd like to show her somewhere different.

I did think about the Caribbean and stretching our time to 9 days to allow for travel but I'm not sure where is suitable for dsd.

I realise July is hurricane season in the Caribbean but I've been a few times in various months and never had more than an hr max of rain so we're not too fussed about time of year there.

I just cannot seem to find the 'right' holiday. I've looked at TUI who ask for a bloody ridiculous amount for a week.

Can anyone give me suggestions?

Not France/Croatia/Bulgaria or the likes though please.

How important is the water park? It's certainly been a high priority for my DC.
The best water park shorthaul is Siam Park in Tenerife IMO, so if she has been there you have a hard act to follow.
Why not look at water parks first and then find a resort that ticks the boxes nearby?
Portugal would tick your boxes not too rowdy, beautiful sea views a breeze and easy to find good food, but their water parks are not very good.
Cyprus has a good one but is very hot and not breezy Grin.

I've never been to Portaventura near Salou but it's supposed to be a good water park and there are some nice resorts along that coast.

Thanks grassy I think I could tempt her away from a water park if she had white sandy beaches and plenty of water sports snorkelling etc. I'm currently looking at a Caribbean cruise which comes out as the same price as the tui. I just don't know if I can face an 11hr Flight to get there Confused

Cruises can be great for teens, especially if she doesn't have siblings or a friend with her. Why not a med cruise? Much shorter flight. Though to be honest you struggle to get much beach time on a cruise.
