Things to do in Dublin

We’re going to Ireland this summer and catching the ferry to and from Dublin
What are the must see’s in and around Dublin, we’d like know how long we are likely to need there before we move on to a campsite further south
We have older children so don’t need specific children’s activities (youngest is 16)
Any suggestions?

My daughter really loved the Museum of Dead Animals

The museum is pretty much unchanged since Victorian times and is now considered something of an artefact in itself.

Viking Splash tour is a bit of a laugh

My son loved the Irish Rock and Roll Museum in Temple Bar. Viking Splash definitely. I haven't done Kilmainham Jail since I was a kid but apparently still well worth a trip if you are into history.

Trinity Library (after you see the Book of Kells) is beautiful, even just to wander through.

Take the Dart out to Killiney and walk up the hill, then head to Dalkey for lunch and drinks.

sounds like the jail would be a good visit for us
All good suggestions so far, looks like a couple of days stay may be necessary

If you like walking, the coastal walk from Bray to Greystones is worth trying.
