Hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower?

We're heading on a mini moon to Paris for 3 nights in August, I'd love a hotel room with a view of the Eiffel Tower (cliche I know!)
We're happy to spend a bit to get it but want to stay fairly central, maybe in the 7th so not one with a distant view.

Thanks!

This covers a variety of budgets (since you didn't mention budget):

I've stayed in the Hotel Passy Eiffel a few times. It's a friendly boutique hotel on the lovely Rue de Passy. Some rooms have views of the Eiffel Tower. Maybe not swanky enough though, but I prefer to save my money for fab restaurants. It's a great area, loads of gorgeous cafes, restaurants, shops nearby. Don't miss the Marmottan Museum up the road. A small museum which not many people seem to know about, it was really quiet when I went. Loads of amazing Monets and Impressionist works.

Are you planning to sit in your room all day? Who gaf. Go out and explore instead

We stayed in Le Chat Noir in Pigelle. If I remember correctly it wasn’t too expensive and had lovely views of the Eiffel Tower especially when lit up. Really nice boutique hotel.

Thanks for all the info that link is very useful! I'd prefer a traditional style hotel over a very modern one and budget would be max £250 a night which rule some out on that list.
Well it's a honeymoon so a fair amount of time might be spent in the room! Wink
We've been to Paris a few times before so done plenty of exploring.

Just bear in mind that some smaller cafes/restaurants/shops will be closed for all of August so factor this in when you choose your hotel if this matters to you. I'm sure you're already aware that many Parisians leave Paris in August and take the whole month off as holiday so the city tends to be mainly tourists.

Depending on whether you want quiet or busy, this may impact your location choice. For example, the 7th and the 16th (Passy - as recommended earlier) will be quieter and some places closed. The more touristy 5th, 6th, etc will be as busy as ever (just less locals around to balance the proportion of tourists out). $250/night isn't a huge budget for Paris so I'd book sooner rather than later as the good deals disappear quickly. You may get a good deal on a hotel that business travellers normally prefer due to it being August but many of these won't be the "traditional style" you're looking for.

We went in August a few years ago and stayed in a room with a huge terrace/balcony with a lovely Eiffel Tower view. It was Hôtel Le Littres and it was very nice for the price.

We also stayed at (I think) Hôtel De La Tour Eiffel and had a teeny balcony with a very close up view. They’ve renovated since. It’s in a good location for walking and seeing things, plus walking distance to my favourite restaurant in Paris (Les Crocs Des L’Ogres)

Personally I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on the tower view as you won’t be in your room much. I did enjoy sitting on the terrace at night having a glass of wine though! Next time I’ll get an apartment in the Marais I think since we end up around there mostly anyway.

Hotel de Banville is lovely and charming, it has rooms with a view.

How close do you want to be to Eiffel Tower? We stayed at the top floor of Le Petit Balloy St Germain with a view of Eiffel Tower to left from our balcony and Notre dame in right. It was AMAZING and grrat location for us, not too dear. If this area is not too far i would enquire :) will send a photo so you can see what i mean about distance.

Also, if you want a really nice hotel in a different location, Terass in Montmatre is gorgeous (only been for a meal on the roof but it was amazing, such a great view).

Theres a hotel guide on the Messy Nessy Chic website and want to stay at all of them (not sure if the one on Ile St Louis is still there but it looks so cute, and that square is one of my favourite places)
