What to do with French exchange student in London on Saturday

Was planning to take her and DD (both 14) to Camden Market during the day but the French girl seems very young for her age and is from a conservative Catholic family so I fear it's not going to be her thing. It's also meant to be freezing cold at the weekend. Any alternative ideas? We live in London and they've been doing touristy day trips all week (museums, Changing of the Guard etc). We're taking her to the theatre in the evening (South Bank). Help!

Even the unworldly ones seem to want to go to Top Shop at Oxford Circus

But if you're really sure not shopping, do you have any glimmer of what she is interested in?

She likes the theatre, hence the evening. Thought walk along the South Bank but they've done that already!

The V&A? It is such a nice place to just mooch around, followed by sushi in one of the Japanese places nearby.

Or shopping/browsing on Marylebone High Street? Not as overwhelming as Oxford Street

Chinatown lunch for the Chinatown experience (rude waiters, tasty food), my teens love the novelty of China town (we are from the countryside, 0% ethnic diversity, so this is exciting to them) then wander to Covent garden to look at street performers?

Have they been to St Paul’s? You can climb right up and there is a great view of the city. I finally went last year and it really surprised me. I always recommend it to people now.

How about taking her to Mass at Brompton Oratory, followed by a trip to the V&A?

St Pauls, Westminster Cathedral, V and A, National Gallery, tea at the Occitane cafe in Regent Street or at Zedel. Marylebone High Street, HMV and Top Shop, Tower of London, Tower Bridge tour,

Tate Modern, Madame Tussaud’s, Shard, Borough Market, boat trip down the Thames or London Eye off the top of my head.
Sadly, Leyton Orient are away tomorrow as you could have given her a real treat there Grin

She might love Camden. The idea is for them to have new experiences. If it seems too much for her, just head off to the canal and take a boat to the zoo instead. Kids who seem young for their age from conservative families can love being treated as though they were a bit more worldly wise.

If not, I'd go for a boat trip from the Eye to Greenwich and mooch around Greenwich. It's so beautiful with the Cutty Sark and the Maritime Museum and the Observatory and park, all the restaurants and a more genteel market than Camden.

Or get her to practise her English buying food at Borough market.

I would think Camden would be fine or what about Borough Market, not sure what Shoreditch is like
