Not a stealth boast; work trip, but as I'm not paying I want to make the most of it. . .

Any advice? I know you can have a facial etc; can you book in advance?

Thanks in advance

Do you mean the complimentary treatments in the airport lounge? Some you can book in advance, some you can't. Have a look on the website.

Don't be restricted to only ordering food when they appear to be doing meals. You can order food between those times onboard

You can ask them to make your bed up for you.

Choose a seat a bit further away from the bar.

Enjoy Smile

Yes - go onto seatguru.com to check the layout of the plane you'll be flying on (you'll need your flight number), and choose where you're sitting.

Enjoy it! I love flying VUC, and we've paid a couple of times to fly that way on our own holidays too. Definitely worth it if you have an overnight flight.

Oh I've been on seatguru already......

The reviews say the food is good? Is that right?

Yes, it always has been when I've flown with them - although it probably depends on where you're flying. From London, the food will be made there. From other departure destinations, it may very. But certainly I've never had any complaints.

You do get one free treatment at the Clubhouse but you can only book this on the day so get there as early as you can (no time limit on how long you can stay in the CH).

Most Upper Class tickets offer free airport transfers so book these if you've got them included!

Food has always been great as far as plane food goes and you won't go hungry. Unlimited cocktails etc. as well so make the most of it :)

Also don't forget the arrivals lounge on the way back, you can have another treatment and a shower and cooked breakfast after the flight.

When flying overnight, have a meal in the lounge, and get straight into bed when you arrive on the plane. Then sleep all the way until you get home!

Ooh it's LOVELY, have flown several times for work
Enjoy OP!

The lounge at Heathrow is amazing, much much better than the BA business lounge.

You can have a full meal in there before you fly, waiter service, the lot. It is brilliant.

I had a facial in the New York lounge, but it's only a 15 minute one.

You are given pyjamas if it's a night flight, and there are proper duvets and pillows etc.

I think overall, due to the lounge experience and the excellent food on the flight, it slightly edges it over BA. Although BA's new service has really upped their game.

Also, the car to the airport and the way tgey greet you makes you feel very special indeed!

I wish I could afford it for holidays. I only do it for work too!
