How do their long haul flights compare with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Delta etc?

We did and it wasn't great. We upgraded to premium which was more like Virgin Or BA E. The food and IFE were dire and there was hardly any leg room. We had to pay for drinks.
But I think TC have some Dreamliners so if I would reconsider using them again, depending on the plane.

It's fine, although their definition of long haul is looooong so you could end up fitting to Egypt and having to pay for everything, water included.

We flew to Orlando with Thomas Cook last summer on one of the Dreamliners and it was great. Food was fairly standard airline food, loads of entertainment on the tablets in the back of the chairs, enough room but not loads.

Thomas cook doesn't have Dreamliners

The a330's used for long haul routes are not too bad legroom wise. I'd choose the two's around the bulkheads and avoid being near downstairs toilet entrance.

Ife In seatbacks is not too bad and you can upgrade that service.

TBh not much between virgin and Tcx economy.

Flew to NY with Thomas Cook a couple of times and then with Virgin Atlantic.
Both absolutely fine.

We have flown t.c to Orlando and it was a much better experience than Virgin in all honestly. I wouldn't spend the extra money on virgin again - they ran out of food, seemed to be less room, disorganised, no travel packs for the kids where's t.c deli eyed what they promised. Would book again with them.

Thomas Cook do not use Dreamliners aircraft; they use Airbus A330-200's on their long haul routes.

TUI formally known as Thomsons (who are a completely separate company to Thomas Cook) use dreamliners on some of their long haul routes.

We used TC to go to Cuba. Their legroom was fine. I’ve really long legs and struggled with Thomson, it was awful, but Thomas Cook were fine, the food wasn’t great, but hey ho.

FlyMaybe · 05/03/2018 22:08

Thanks all. I have heard that there is more legroom with TC. As my DS is over 6ft 3, we will need it!

Flown long-haul 2ce with both Virgin and BA previously- not terribly impressed! (Although I was upgraded with BA last time - which was very civilised. )

TC are head and shoulders cheaper on the route I want this summer. I think I will give them a go, and report back.

Maybe it was TUI who we flew with... It was only last year, you'd think I'd remember!!

Flew with T C to Orlando last year, only because they were so much cheaper than Virgin. Food is dire and you have to pay extra for better movies and programmes on the seat back entertainment system. Have to pay for drinks and seat selection, lots of people took their own food/drinks. I wouldn’t use them again,

Hi I flew on their Stansted to Orlando route in August, it was excellent. More legroom than I have had if flying with Virgin economy etc.
Highly recommended!
