Would really appreciate some reassurance from Anyone that's been on this ship.

It will be our first cruise and I'm so so nervous.

I've been on P&O regularly on all of the larger ships, but not on Cunard. The people I know who go on Cunard are either retired or child-free couples. I'm going on Britannia again next week. DD is hoping that there will be a lot of post-GCSE teenagers on board for company, as they tend to hang out together on board.

Sorry, pressed post too soon.

A lot of the older travellers on P&O get very excited about the formal nights, but these seem to be relaxed compared to Cunard. The whole dining experience on Cunard is a step up from P&O.

Do you live near Southampton? You can actually book a ship visit when the ships are in port on changeover day.

Thanks.

Dp is put off Cunard by the dress code.

Nowhere near Southampton, unfortunately.

P&o is the easyJet of cruiselines IMO.

P&O are the worst cruise line I’ve been with, it was a third rate experience compared to a US cruise line like Royal Caribbean or Celebrity...and the staff were so miserable!

Actually Britannia is registered in the UK not Bermuda. Still agree on the tips. But I thought that P&O were moving to a tips included price? If you are going on Britannia and don’t take a drinks package, there was a bar (can’t remember the name but sure someone else will ) which does 2 for one happy hour drinks. We would buy there and take the drinks to dinner. Saved us a fortune. Check out if that is still offered.

We went on in November 18 with our daughter who was 8 months at the time. It was our first cruise and we really enjoyed it. Pre baby, our holidays consisted of numerous flights and just a couple of days in a place before we'd fly to the next. This isn't so appealing with a baby and lots of their things to pack up, which is why we thought a cruise would be a good option. We had somewhere different to explore every day. The ship itself was good. I was impressed with the restaurants and I thought the staff were great. Loads of Indians and Filipinos make up the staff which was great for us as we used to live in Bangalore and Manila so had lots to talk to them about. Agree with what others have said about the stair cases but you get used to it pretty quickly. Trying to go up and down the lifts could be a pain at certain times too. We had the pushchair otherwise I would have used the stairs
