Disneyland in April?

Firstly would you allow your 21 year old daughter to take your 10 year old daughter to Disneyland Paris for her birthday? The eldest is sensible and very confident in regards to travel and safety but I think anyone would have their reservations. They'd be getting the eurostar and staying on site- how safe would you consider the trip and has anyone had a similar experience?

Also they'd be looking to go mid-april, does anyone have any experience of visiting DLP around this time?

Thanks! Smile

Pretty safe as the train stops literally in dlp If you trust her for a day in London. I'd prob trust her if it's only a few nights especially if they are staying in the Disney resort

Do they have same surname as could be complicated in customs if they don't.

Not sure I would leave a 21 year old in charge abroad, probably would be fine but unexpected events could throw her into a tailspin, think losing passports/money, accidents, train cancelled would she be mature enough and confident enough to resolve problems in a foreign country?

It’s hard to imagine an easier or safer trip! They’ll be fine. At 17 I was happily interrailing round Europe with a friend, only occasionally remembering to find a phonebox (those were the days) to let our respective parents know of our latest adventures. This is a piece of cake - they will walk off the train and in through the magical gates.

We went to DLP (and Paris proper) in the first week of April 2017 and had a great time. We were very lucky with the weather which was mostly warm sunshine. It was pretty busy at DLP, despite being a touch before Easter. I am sure it’s always busy though Smile

Yes I would allow it. I wasn't much older when I had my eldest so it would seem odd to me not to treat a 21year old as an adult.

I'd allow it. The train is much easier than flying. 10 year olds are good travel companions. If they are staying in site they will be well looked after by the hotel if anything goes wrong. My husband left down my bag when we were there with all my meal vouchers and cash and everything else. We didn't realise it was gone for ages. We asked security and our bag was there with everything as it was!! That wouldn't happen in many places!!
They will remember this trip forever. How lovely!
