Why Amsterdam is brilliant with kids (or without)

I've noticed some threads on here recently looking for info about family trips to Amsterdam

I'm an Amsterdam blogger with heaps of info on my site for travelling to the city with kids and without. There's also loads about family activities in the rest of The Netherlands.

Really happy to help if anyone has specific questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks tracelab. No, it wouldn’t be for him at all, they’d be “in tow.” I wouldn’t explain anything much but wondered if there was a) traumatic imagery and b) people might get offended/judge us for having him there!! The other option is I go alone leaving him with dh. I’d love to go back when he’s older but you never can tell, my mum always promised to take me and never did!!

@ofitck that makes total sense. No one will be offended (super considerate of you to bear that in mind though!).

This is a really useful resource from the Anne Frank organisation that should answer most of your questions:

If you are interested in other aspects of Jewish life in Amsterdam have a read of this too

Totally get what you're saying about returning. Conversely, I went as a child and never imagined I'd marry an Amsterdam native and come back so often!!!
