Booking a holiday to Spain

We are thinking of going in August this year. It will be our first family holiday.

When is the best time to book it for a bargain price or at least a decent price? Or is that the price of that holiday all year round?

Also in August, is the first two weeks is more expensive than the last two weeks? Or is it the same throughout the month?

Thanks

I've been into a travel agents only this afternoon. There are still free child places on a few holidays to Spain.
Don't hang on for a bargain though. The prices will go up

Yes I noticed myself today at tui? (Thomson cook I think) about free child places.
When does the prices go up, if you know by any chance?

Thank you

They go up when the child places go. How old are your children?

biglips · 25/01/2018 08:42

They will be 6, 9 and 13 in August.

If you go into tui give them your budget they can do the magic. Some holidays had free child places x 2

donajimena · 25/01/2018 10:33

Ive just booked mine with Tui here's a tip have a look online and ask the travel agents to match it. I saved 100 pound x

Child places are going fast the beginning of August is usually more expensive. It’s cheapest if you are able to fly from Scotland the last two weeks in August. Also often works out cheaper to fly on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday or to go for 10 or 12 days or something rather than 7 or 14 nights. Jet2 might be worth a look too. Check out the reviews on Trip Adviser and try to narrow it down to two or three areas or hotels.

I would thoroughly recommend Jet2 and the same package is cheaper with Jet2 than TUI. I have used both companies TUI when it was Thomson and to be fair we have been more impressed with Jet2 in terms of flights and hotels. We have never experienced any problems with them either.

I’d let the agents sort it out for your first holiday for ease. But if you’re wanting to keep costs down it might be better using Expedia for Hotel and skyscanner for flight comparison. Ryanair are often cheapest short haul. Lots of deals around atm good luck

Another vote for Jet2, we've travelled loads with them and they've been great.

Even DH (BA gold card holder and utter travel snob) loves Jet2!
