We'd like to visit Scotland for a few days early in July. Myself and adult dc.
Does anyone have any recommendations for breathtaking scenery and preferably not too touristy?
Happy to go with recommendations as a starting point and then hopefully fill in the travel and accommodation accordingly.

third the route 500 - but don't try and do the Bealach na ba over to
Applecross in a caravan! Think serious hair pins... But OMG it's jawdropping.

This! We did it last year. We went to Skye via Glencoe, Fort William, ferry from Mallaig then across the bridge to the Western Highlands, back home via Inverness. We went in March though and the roads were extremely quiet. Weather wasn't fantastic but that just added to the scenery, very atmospheric. There was some snow on the Bealach na ba and I was shitting myself but it was amazing! We stayed at the Torridon Hotel near Achnasheen, it was fabulous

We loved it so much we are doing it again next month. In fact we were stunned by the fact we have never done it before as we live in Northern Scotland.
