Ok so not very festive, but I've seen a few airlines/holiday companies have started their sales.

Dd is off to uni in September which is also her 18th birthday. I was thinking a few days away just the 2 of us would be quite nice. We will have a separate family holiday in the summer.

It will likely be the first week in September and for 4 days so just looking for some ideas of where would be nice.

So far I've considered Santorini, Croatia and Copenhagen but not quite sure, so any suggestions or thoughts on either of these would be much appreciated. Smile

If you are on a budget Rome can be cheaper than most cities I have been too, just needs a bit of planning. And Rome is so beautiful, especially if you walk away from the main tourist streets. It is also a city that still feels very much like you are in a foreign city, unlike some where tourism has taken over so much. I think I need to go back😁

If it was me I’d take her to a smaller and (marginally) less touristy Italian city. Cagliari and especially Bergamo both have spectacular views.

I took my DD2 to Barcelona just before she went to uni. DH took DD1 to Rome before she went. Both really enjoyed their trips.
