Hi does anyone know if you have to pay extra for the wild west show and if so how much and would it be ok for a 2.75 yo?

you do pay extra for it.i honestly can't remember how much but i can remember it being expensive so we decided not to do it,spent the money on a character tea instead which i felt was more suited to our 2.

lolpop · 22/04/2007 18:18

Latest prices can be found here (hope that works, not good at links!). we felt it was going to be a bit old for our three year old when we went recently but may take him in October when we go again.

crunchie · 22/04/2007 18:19

it is very expensive IIRC, however we really enjoyed it, and had booked it during teh 'kids go free' times so we only paid for aduts. My kids were 5 and 7 and INTO horses so worth it, for your kids I wouldn't bother. Actually I wouldn't bother with disney at that age - they wont get that musch out of it and they certainly won't remember it. I waited until my would remember the experience and I am glad I did. You will feel the need to go again in a few years.

littlemissbossy · 22/04/2007 18:21

definately too young at that age and TBH we thought it was a waste of money, the food was rubbish and the show was ok but not brilliant - it was about 60 euros per adult last year, half for children I think

littlemissbossy · 22/04/2007 18:22

not too young for disney IMO but too young for the wild west show

ash6605 · 22/04/2007 18:25

i disagree chrunchy we went last year with my then 2 yr 10month old and she is forever talking about it now a year on.she loved the experience, went on most of the rides since there are a good selection of fairground rides and most of all loved the characters.
i'm not saying we won't go again,we'll probably go when she's 6/7ish to get the benefit of the things we couldn't go on first time around but by then she'll probably be too old for the little rides so i suppose there is no perfect time to go anyway.

lolpop · 22/04/2007 18:25

I don't think 2.75 is too young for Disney, my son was that old when we took him last year and he loved it...although he probably enjoyed it this year more.

crunchie · 22/04/2007 18:44

ok if you can afford to go more than once then start at 2.75. I am simply making the comment that older children appear to get more form it in the long term. We cannot afford to go again. If you go every year then that's OK

noonar · 22/04/2007 21:07

can i hijack for a minute? my dds are just 5 and an (advanced) 3 in july. are they the right age to splash out on eurodisney, or should we wait a year?

ash6605 · 22/04/2007 21:21

i think so,go for it!!
mine were 2yr 10mnth(dd) and 6yr(ds)they both loved it.

Hulababy · 22/04/2007 21:24

noonar - DD has been to Disney (DLP and Florida) a few times now and has loved it in different ways each time. She is now 5, and we are going again to DLP, with friends, in October. She can't get enough of it!

melbob · 23/04/2007 21:11

Thanks all not going to DLP is not an option its Mum'S 70th and she's paying!

If you are going at a busy time, pre book tickets for the show so you can get the early show. Even if you buy them there the day before.

ash6605 · 25/04/2007 12:11

i can't reccomend the Lion King show enough either,it was great.it's a free show but you do have to book for it.

Melaniec234 · 25/04/2007 15:32

hi ash, can you book lion king online before you go, or can you just book when you get to eurodisney

ash6605 · 25/04/2007 15:56

i'm not exactly sure TBH.i waited until we were there.if i can remember,i booked it on the day of the show or the day before.i presume they do it this way to save on queing time? the best thing to do is wait until you get there, and on your first day go and enquire about how you get the tickets.

LizP · 25/04/2007 18:15

I'm sure when we went there were times that you could get tickets for the lion king show - and this was something like 10 in the morning for the shows that day.

Housemum · 25/04/2007 18:30

If you get the show times leaflet that goes with the park guide it tells you when to go to collect the tickets - they hand them out (they are free), first come first served, outside the Videopolis (think it's to the left of Space Mountain as you enter that Tomorrow Land or whatever it's called). Make sure you check what time they are giving out the English tickets unless your French is good!

My DD (was nearly 4) wasn't actually that keen on the Lion King - I think that because she's seen so many big characters, it confused her that these were people (like the London stage show). Also, she's not seen the Lion King so it didn't mean that much for her.

noonar · 25/04/2007 20:46

tahnks hula, sorry for hijack.
