Somewhere with kids clubs for May/June

I don’t know if this makes me a bad mother (or just an honest one!) but I’m looking for a holiday where my children 3 and 5 can disappear for a couple of hours a day and be entertained! Somewhere warm - not esp fussy where. Also would like kids pools and slides, etc. This is our first family holiday and would like AI.

Has anyone any suggestions of specific resorts they’ve enjoyed? Thanks

Following. I am looking for exactly the same

I just don’t know where to start. I picked up a pile of TUI brochures and there are about a million resorts, all virtually the same! There was a helpful girl who has emailed me through some info, but it seems she had to search quite hard to find what she thought I wanted and when I looked them up I was fairly non-plussed.

So I figured recommendation is best! Hopefully some MNers have had a good holiday they can share...

What's your budget?

Tenerife sensatori is nice. Good food and good kids club. No beach at the hotel though, we did a separate day trip

If you are looking for May half term school hols then its going to expensive and lots of people do book up a year in advance. I think you have too much choice in front of you. narrow down what sort of flight time you want and pick a place. then start searching.

its worth starting with something like Mark Warner just to give you an idea of what is out there and rough prices/availability.

Thank you. Budget would be about £2k ideally, but could go up to £2.5k.
Our school has a two week half term, so we wonder if the second week would be quieter and therefore cheaper!
Flight time - preferably less than 4 hours.

Will have a look at Mark Warner. I’ve not heard of them before. But too much choice is absolutely right!

The main half term week this year is Friday 25th may to Monday 4th June. whichever of your weeks avoids these dates will be quieter and could be a bit cheaper. however, most private schools get 2 weeks in May and holiday companies have cottoned on to this and put prices up.

which countries do you fancy visiting?

Club Pollentia is about 45 minutes’ drive from Palma airport. The coast that it's on is a bit scrappy but there is a lovely beach about 10 mins drive away. It's quite a sporty resort and has loads going on. There are clubs for different age ranges from babies to teenagers. Babysitting can be arranged. There is a splash pool for kids, a playground and plenty of garden space to run about on. In Denario, the family restaurant, there is a children’s buffet at a lower height. Here's the link to the family section of their website www.clubpollentia.co.uk/en/family-hotel/ and a link to the Telegraph's review of the hotel www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/spain/majorca/hotels/Club-Pollentia-Resort/

If the last week of your half term is in June then I think Bonsol Hotel might just have the edge over Pollentia (even though it's a bit more expensive). The reason why I say it needs to be June is because that's when the excellent kids' club starts running (although it may be worth contacting them to check the exact dates). The kids' club has a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including swimming lessons, sports, arts and crafts. The nice thing is that the kids' club runs until 9pm and will give them supper at 6pm, so you can dine by yourself. Babysitting is also available (all year round, I think). There is an indoor playroom with toys and games, two outdoor playgrounds and a children's pool near the beach. Suites, which have sofas that convert to beds, accommodate up to two children, and cots can be provided in all rooms. It is a half-hour transfer from Palma airport. Like Pollentia, it's a large resort, but it seemed more friendly.

Ricekrispie, thank you. That is a very comprehensive and detailed recommendation! Do you work for them or have just had a good experience? It looks good, the type of thing I’m after and within budget too. I’ll have another proper look on the computer.

I had a look at Mark Warner holidays - they seem great with amazing kids clubs and care. But they are considerably more expensive and I’m not sure we can justify that at the moment.

No I don't work for them. DH worked in Palma for while.
