Dubai Family-Friendly Hotels

Does anyone have recommendations for good family-friendly hotels in Dubai? We are thinking of going this December for a week with our 2.5 year old daughter.

We love the Grand Hyatt. It is amazing. They have an amazing kids club. There are 4 separate pools, including one with huge kids play equipment and a couple of bigger slides and another which is like a beach and shallow. The kids one and the beach are shaded. The grounds are extensive and they have a little stream and some ducks. Inside they have an atrium with huge palms and a river with fish in. The food is brilliant also. Its not as expensive as Atlantis. Be careful when you book as there are about 4 hyatts. This one is the Grand Hyatt.
Any jumeirah hotel has free access to wild wadi water park and shuttle buses to take you there. I think for a 2.5 year old, the water parks will be too old. The Grand Hyatt will give you all you need.

Dubai is a brilliant family friendly destination and the weather in December is beautiful. We live about 90 mins away and go often. I would never leave the UAE in December as it is gorgeous. Plenty to do with kids. Lots of parks, especially Creek Park. Lovely in nice weather. There is a dolphinarium there with shows every day. Also, Dubai Mall has a huge aquarium. The beaches are also great. Check out Kite Beach if you get the chance.

We came back last week from the Sofitel on the palm. Excellent facilities for kids, my girl is 20 months old. Kids club was great but you need to accompany under 4s. Lots of pools and shallow beach, pool with water slide. Only downside was the food, some days great, other days rubbish!
Would also recommend Oman, we stayed at the Shangri-la Al Waha which is brilliant for kids. There are 3 hotels (all shangri la) on a totally private beach and you can use the facilities st 2 with the kids or get a break and go to adult only one. Excellent pools, lazy river, a huge indoor trampoline park and soft play plus kids club. Food much better than Sofitel but rooms less fancy than Dubai. But you’re hardly in your room or stay at the more expensive one of the hotels for a nicer room. We would go back to Oman in a flash, staff lovely, same flight time and time diff as dubai.
To those saying go to Caribbean, the time diff in the Middle East makes it much more desirable for taking a toddler as it’s only a couple of hours (3-4) vs a 7 hour time diff. When we did Carribean we were more tired out there as our lg barely slept overnight because of jet lag. Yes they may be more beautiful & morally ‘better’ but for a quick easy holiday with a toddler the Middle East is great. Enjoy!!!

Was coming on to say JBH or Ritz Carlton - have never been able to get into the latter (peak time booking) but it's meant to be amazing for kids.
Think you've made a good choice - The Atlantis is a nice hotel but a pain if you want to get off the Palm. When we were on the Palm last month, a set of traffic lights has failed and it took an hour and a half to do an otherwise 20 minute drive.
Anyway, enjoy that lovely warm weather and sea OP Smile
