I am just battling with deciding what to do... anyone?? I should add we like to be active and are fair skinned so will probably do multiple things in a day - can't spend too long at water parks or beach.

How many days does it take to "do" the theme parks with kids? - When I was younger DH and I did them all in 4 days!

PLAN A
5 nights at a Disney Hotel (or more? 6)
5 Nights relaxing on the coast / beach (inc kennedy space centre)
5 Nights at a universal hotel (or less? 4?)

PLAN B
Book an Orlando villa for 10 nights - missing magic hours but more flexabilty
Go to the coast for 5 nights (inc kennedy space centre)

PLAN C
Spend the whole time in Orlando with trips out to Kennedy space centre etc.

Teppan Edo is so entertaining!

We took 4yo DSD to Akershus to meet Snow White wearing a Snow White dress. We thought it would be really cute and a lovely photo opportunity. Snow White decided she wanted to parade her around the restaurant and my DSD freaked the fuck out and started screaming. Unfortunately it was the second night of the holiday and she spent the rest of the time hating princesses. She still dislikes them 4 years later in fact.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all their advice!

In the end we did 10 nights Disney, 5 Nights Universal and has a fabulous time (so kind of plan C!)

Also did Wild Florida (gators), discovery cove and generally had a great time.

We all loved Teppen Edo!

Fantastic holiday all round and already planning to go back in 2020!

Only just noticed this pop up again @tickingthebox so glad to hear you had a good time! How did your husband find it after? Is he converted to Disney??

Kittysacunt · 21/09/2018 21:02

We always stay at Disney now, we Uber over to universal - was $21 including tip. Dc younger though so more hassle to pack/unpack etc

Kittysacunt · 21/09/2018 21:04

Sorry - didn’t check the dates or read the full thread Blush

@Unihorn - well he says he didn't like it but was in the parks every day Grin

@Kittysacunt - yes we considered that but the unlimited express passes made moving well worthwhile I'd say! (and the closeness to the parks, it was a 5 minute walk from Hard Rock Hotel). DH preferred this to Disney.
