Looking for some holiday inspiration for next year. I have 2DDs age 11 and 9.
Where has your fave place been and why?

@Unihorn

I would second North Wales as it has loads of adventurous stuff for children can I ask where abouts, silly question I know, but where would one start to look and what kind of adventurous stuff...

Slovenia - fantastic - great food, really easy to get round.

Mallorca - beautiful, good beaches - great food!

@SunSeptember
We used HomeAway and Air B'n'B to find an apartment in Betws-y-Coed which is such a nice village close to Snowdon. We walked up Snowdon one day, but depending on ages of children you could choose a slightly smaller mountain as there are plenty!

We did a Go Below underground ziplines tour which was incredible www.go-below.co.uk

There's also numerous Zip World attractions now for all ages including a "forest coaster", and Bounce Below which is an underground trampoline park.

A bit further afield there's an inland surf park which is open seasonally. Or you can visit Anglesey and try coasteering/scrambling etc.

We went in February so stuck to underground things!

Malta, Nirja (Costa del Sol), Lake Garda (Malcesine, Riva) - all holidays taken when children were same age(ish) as yours, - safe, good weather, lots to do!!!

Baltics cruise with celebrity - absolutely wonderful. Sometimes it was tempting not to get off at a port and see the amazing places we stopped at because the ship was so amazing.

We were round the coast from salou this year and loved it was lovely maybe a bit quiet for kids but you can go to main resorts fortaventura theme park is near by Barcelona was 90 minutes away and 2.5 hours flight was perfect

Short haul - Turkey - all inclusive in Belek, fabulous hotel with a waterpark, great for kids and adults. But I love Menorca as well.

Long haul- hands down our best holiday ever - 3 nights in Fort Lauderdale, 7 day cruise out of Miami, then 2 nights near Busch Gardens, and 5 nights in Orlando. It was fabulous, and felt like three different holidays in one.
