and how was the childcare?

Brilliant. Best possible holiday to go on with a child under 3 IMO. (Over that age lotsof places will provide adequate childcare). Childcare is great, babylistening in evenings means you can eat after kids have, kids teatime is pefect for little ones. In fat, I'm kind of sad my kids are old enough for us to look elsewhere now!

We've done San Ag and Paleros and San Ag significantly better

why was san ag better for your family?

Just newer - paleros was a bit tired. San ag also had an extra real greek restaurant, and the Giros (like a kebab in flatbread) were unbelievably good. Pools better than Paleros as well - one adult only, and kids one with bridges, shallow bits etc over the other side. Childcare just as good at both. at Paleros the 24 hour kitchen (stocked with milk, sink, sterilisers etc) was one big one over by the kids club, wheras San Ag had lots of small ones scattered through accommodation.

Sunsail's Vounaki club is near Paleros, it was fantastic if you're looking at going to that area.

we went to lemnos last year and it was ecxellent. Quite small and totally away from all roads, traffic etc, one of the smaller resorts I think. My dds loved the kids' clubs and the pools and the adults food i the evening was lovely!!I am just about to book again!!

the childcare was very good indeed IMO. They weill take them swimming and do things you worry about - like put their suncream on properly etc, change their nappies regularly, ensure they are wearing hats and drinking enough water. We left the nannies big tips at the end of our 2 weeks, so did most people, as they deserved it.

Can any of you who have been tell me what they do about snacks? Am worried that if we go dd will be given/able to take something containing milk, which she is intolerant of.

I also can't have milk as she is still breastfeeding, and it passes through to her. Will I still be able to eat their food do you think? Are they accommodating of special dietary needs?

olliepolly · 23/04/2007 17:43

Last year in san agostino they had a child with very severe allergies and managed it very well.I would not worry they are used to dealing with this. Also for your diet, in san ag there was a huge choice and avoiding dairy would not be difficult.

ive only been on the ski ones and they were fantastic - truly fantastic - we felt like we had the first true holiday of being parents and it was really good for us.

staff were great - childcare was excellent - food was great and im really fussy - and dh has allergies - rooms small but comfy and clean.

QueenofBleach · 29/04/2007 19:39

We went to Cosica with them last year when DD was 19 weeks, it was a bit pricey but well worth the money. The child care was fantastic, they looked after all of us, DH learnt to sail while I sat reading. It was great.

£££££

they keep tellign me is onyl "300" nad it more like 5k

Pollyanna · 30/04/2007 19:38

I would say it is only ok. Fine if you are going out of school holidays, but very expensive in school holidays and not worth it imo. (we also went to Kos).

Also, I am a bit unsure about kids clubs and so are my children. I'm not paying that much money to force my children in each day and then feel that I ought to be with them. But if your children are fine about going then it is much easier.

just got back from corsica and it was great! the resort is newly refurbished - great location (waterfall walks, on the beach, mountains) - staff were amazing - honestly so lovely - one nanny was so great I offered him a job. My dd loved her club made new friends who all ate with us at meal times. She cried when she had to go home and wants to go back.

dh loved it too.

food was great for all of us, activities were excellent - so many to choose from. Rooms clean but basic.

weather great. As we went before half term it was not expensive 1600 for four with childcare - I think for all food, wine, childcare and activites that is pretty good.

baby listening was really good - lots of people kept their kids up and that was very relaxed and easy going others used babysitters or baby listening and everyone was safe and happy.
