Quiet island holiday

I want to go away next June for a week (could stretch to two weeks if it was a longer flight time).
It'll be me and ds (15).
We went to a Spain island this year and whilst it was lovely, I totally booked the wrong resort.
I've been looking at zante (or any Greek island but narrowed it down to zante) and then someone recommended menorca so I started researching there and now I'm confused.
I want a quiet beach holiday on a very quiet island (or at least a quiet resort)! We went to oz two years ago and spent a week on the most amazing island...I want that but without a 24hr flight to get there!!). Grin Does such a thing exist within 6hours of the uk?!

LIttlejayx is Lopud good for a couple on their own or better for kids?

Littlejayx · 05/09/2017 11:49

We went with just me and my partner, but will be going again when the baby is 1/2 it's so lovely honestly

Sorry I'll explain,

Plenty of water sports and family friendly restaurants and a lovely hidden beach and Dubrovnik was family friendly

But perfect for just a couple too, we did lots of the active adventures like kayaking to the the little islands

Thank you! It would just be me and DH. Sounds really lovely.

Just about to fly home from three weeks Greek island hopping. Get planning OP! We flew to Mykonos, and went to Syros, Sifnos, Milos, and Folegandros. So beautiful, and very peaceful. But not Mykonos. The seventh circle of holiday hell.

I am shamelessly jumping in as started an "if I love Men orca where else..." Thread the other day..
Lots of these sound perfect for me and dd (14).
Can totally recommend Cala Galdana in Menorca, actually most of it with the exception of Santo Tomas which looked very resorty.

Bamboo - sounds awesome!! Without wishing ds' life away, i can't wait until he leaves school and I can skip off and explore, without having to consider term dates!!
Perfumels - Hop on!! Grin
Menorca is definitely on the list...it seems to be very popular.
