Have you made sure that any cars you're travelling in will have seat belts for the car seat

I have visited India alot.

With a.child take lots o wipes and hand sanitizer.. I am a fairly adventurous on the food front but kept things very simple in India. Even in 5* places food hygiene standards are dodgy .Watch buffets ( baterial breeding grounds) and drinks from coolers. I actually avoided meat and fish and stuck to vege options .
When we took a two year old he ate washed fruit that I peeled, packaged ,yoghurt boxed cereal, bread, crackers, a little rice and dahl. If your child isn't trained, take plenty of nappies as it's hard to get big sizes and pack some anti fungal rash cream.
My kids had rotavirus vaccinations as born abroad . Neither of them have had very serious gastirc illness so I think that helps.
I always get DV travelling though sometimes its caused by wine !

Are you going with a big travel firm or doing it yourselves? Is it your first time in India?

We're going alone for a wedding - just me, dh and dd. I have been before only once about 10 years ago

Although there are English speaking pharmacists everywhere the brands they give are different and not child specific.
I'd also take Calpol, baby insect repellent, and some Milton tablets to clean sippy cups.
For adults the local insect repellants are best and you can buy practically everything over the counter in a pharmacy.
