Quiet spots in the Canary Islands - Lanzarote

We've had to change the timings of our holiday plans for this year so all my carefully researched October holiday destinations are out the window.

We've got a week at the end of November/beginning of December to go and find some winter sun and I think that pretty much restricts us to the Canary Islands. We've been to Tenerife several times, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura and normally do AirBnB type accommodation away from resorts.

Really like the look of La Gomera but looking at flights and ferries I don't think the logistics are going to work.

So thinking Lanzarote as it'll be somewhere new but no idea where to base ourselves. All recommendations appreciated

Just for a couple, no kids

Arietta is quiet, so is Puerto Calero. El Golfo is nice, quite secluded. I love Lanzarote, but prefer a bit more activity, we are trying Costa Teguise this time - never been, never fancied it but thought we'd have a change.

I really liked Playa Blanca. It has a lovely prom along the harbour/ port, and while it is bustling it has a lovely quality. Lanzarote is a small island so you can get everywhere pretty easily.

It has the Manrique architecture and places, Timanfaya, the national
Volcano park, lovely wild beaches, the Playas Papagyos. A beautiful wine region.

Have to second Playa Blanca - as said above, lovely prom, plenty of shops/restaurants, etc., but also relatively quiet, i.e. roads and pavements etc generally quiet.

Another vote for playa blanca.
The port is nice lovely and pretty quiet. The resort itself was a it busier (we went in May) but still nice and didn't feel like there were too many people if you know what I mean?! Really nice beach we stayed at princess yaiza which is lovely and if you didn't go in school holidays wouldn't be too full of children.

A third vote to Playa Blanca. Not too developed. The town beach is small but nice and doesn't get the breeze in the afternoon. Some nice restaurants on the promenade (Brisa Marina being the pick of them). And there's some nice no-kids hotels there.

A further vote for Playa Blanca!
