what surgery?

tiredemma · 30/03/2007 15:38

its really hilly.

The cheaper villas are on the far side of the site and are up or down a hill (can't remember which now !) - so the walk is quite steep - but they have a free land-train (landrover pulling carriages - like a bus !) which you can catch !

It's my favourite Centre Parcs - you will have loads of fun !

I had cancer 2 years ago. (lump attached to my skull)I have been going through re-constructive surgery which include skin grafts and tissue expanders. My final op is in 4 weeks time! I cant wait! During this time I have been a new mum (dd was 9 wks old when I had my 1st op) and got married.
So this holiday is very special to me. my hubby is ataying at home being daddy and Im having a hassle free long weekend away!

Spa is really good, make sure you pre-book

it's lovely but someone nicked our pushchair there 3 years ago and dd was very upset. Never happened to us otherwise so it has turned into our main memory. But the herd of deer stealing past the windows at breakfast made up for it.

Love the spa idea! What are prices like - food, drinks, activities etc...

Oh bless you - sorry to hear you've been so poorly !!!

Deffo book treatments in the Aqua Sana - it is lush ! Also - if you want to have lots of girlie chat evenings I'd recommend either cooking yourselves or getting take-aways (If they do them yet !) - the resturants are pretty noisy and not really conducive to girlie chats ime !

Hope you have a great time !

We are going to do a tesco shop and fill the cupboards with junkfood! So that should help.
thank you

was there in jan. the indian restaurant does deliveries/takeaway ad I think the italian one does too. definitely book up your spa treatments - it is an elemis spa and meant to be very good (although I didn't manage to get there).

very hilly so I wouldn't bother bringing bikes, just walk everywhere.

if you want to splash out we had a four bed villa with a hottub on the deck and its own steam room and sauna bit, which was GREAT, I must have had a steam about 4x a day!
So nice to be in a steam room with a baby monitor while the little one napped rather than hanging around reading a book

congrats on the cancer going away, have a lovely time

The Aqua Sna is lovley, book the 3hr Sunday morning spa session. There is a lovley white chill out room with marsh mallow sofas and coulored water features that wiil make you soooo relaxed!
I would take pizza and wine and eat in the villas as the restaurants can be full of screaming kids ( not what you want on a girly weekend).
The pool is great and the exercise classes are good.
I have had a few girls weekends away and they have been fab.
Take cards and board games too!

moondog · 30/03/2007 16:11

I read (uk) as (yuk) and was wondering why on earth you were going.

SimplySparkling · 30/03/2007 16:12

I'd recommend that you book everything that is top of your list the minute you arrive. I still remember one Mum saying in the AquaSana (sp?) after coming away from the counter emptyhanded "Well, you've got things to do (to dh) and you (to kids) and for me it's all booked up and I have nothing!" She was gutted.

I like Longleat but haven't been for 6 years now I think. I'd like to go again.

SimplySparkling · 30/03/2007 16:13

Forgot to say, enjoy the celebrations!

dionnelorraine · 30/03/2007 16:17

ah, yes boardgames. never thought of that! Good idea! I will pass on all your views to the girls so we are more prepared.

Thanks all. I cant wait!!
