Is there such a thing as All Inclusive in a self-contained flat/house rather than hotel rooms??

We are just back from holiday and it was lovely.
So to treat my post-holiday slump I am pondering next summer Grin

We've always done self-catering, usually in some kind of villa with pool.
We have 4 kids and my parents usually join us, so that makes 8 of us in total.

I love the whole waking up in your 'own' house thing, but got fed up with cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping this year. We are not much for going out for every meal, so I am not keen to suggest that.

I was wondering whether there is such a thing as a self-contained flat/property as part of a hotel complex that would provide food and a pool and maybe some kids' clubs/activities? Beach resort preferred, I am not all that fussed where.

Anybody been to such a place?

TIA.

I am currently in Dalyan as we speak.
Third year in a row and agree with what everyone else on here says,it's a gorgeous place.

100% can recommend Fuertaventura caletta de Fuste at any of the barcelo accommodation. The hotel doesn't have any of the facilities In the rooms though. The resort is lovely and clean, plenty to do, very safe and family orientated. I love the fact its breezy so the temperature is comfortable especially with kids. Don't know yet about rocha brava in carviero- we fly out Monday!

Justgivemesomepeace · 05/08/2017 11:07

Oh the beach WAS lovely, HOWEVER I've read recently it's having work done on it currently and it's a bit of a mess at the moment!

We looked at Martinhal/Algarve for last year, it fitted our description but in the end DH wasn't keen on the area. Not cheap though.

If you can go long haul the Caribbean may suit you, lots of villas with either house keeper or you can get AI resorts with mini-villas. But that really is high budget.

Thanks just have a great time!

Damn you, ShangriLa, I now want to spend 3 months at Club Peligoni!
But the prices! Shock
A tiny bit eyewatering...

It's good to know that places like that exist - I think I just need the less luxurious, more-Aldi-than-Waitrose (or Harrod's?) end of the price spectrum Grin

OP I want exactly the same. We always do self catering but it's not much of a holiday at times. But we don't want a hotel either, sharing a room with 2 kids is not on the agenda either!! That ikos resort looks amazing but ££££!
Shameless placemark!

We have been here few years in a row. Apartments on the site ( not in the main building) all with kitchens but you can also book all inclusive. Free and a fantastic kids club a bonus !

I've never been able to find anywhere that comes in under about £7k which is too much for us. To be fair we like to go for 10 days not a week. I was looking for hours yesterday and some places quoted £55k per adult Hmm...as if! Only a 4/5 star and I'd still have to sleep on the sofa bed in a two bed place. It's the reason we keep going back to private rentals. Three or four bedrooms and then use the savings to eat out in lovely and varied restaurants. Quick snacks at the most, and I quite like a wander around the local shops. Would love a bit of pampering etc but space and a decent nights sleep is more important for us.

Have looked used James Villas in the past (and then booked the places independently or through other sites as it can be cheaper). Often isolated or golf resorts but might suit your needs more? Depends how bothered about location you are. They have apartments then the bars/restaurants/kids clubs on site.

Yes, I found some rather lovely ludicrously expensive places too - with own helipad Grin
Oh, how the other half live!
And we are hardly deprived...
The search continues - I am quite enjoying myself.

I gave up for a party of 10 and will just book a villa. I was looking for exactly as you described but nothing really fitted the bill except Turkey which we don't want. I've spent hour on it.

CinderellasBroom · 13/08/2017 19:46

I've been looking (with added condition that it must not require driving, which doesn't help) and can't get it below £5k for four of us (two bedrooms) for a week. Turkey is not a goer with DH, unfortunately.

Would 2 centres work - one week SC and one in a hotel?

ginforall · 18/08/2017 08:44

We just came back from a week in Cape Verde (Sal Island) at the Melia Tortuga hotel ( www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g482848-d2081400-Reviews-Melia_Tortuga_Beach_Resort_Spa-Santa_Maria_Ilha_do_Sal.html ). Stayed in a lovely, large, 2 bed apartment, very private, good size private balcony, quiet . Was all inclusive (which was a first for us), the food was good (choice of places including good quality restaurants in the evening which you could book as many times as you like). The service was a little slow in places and there isn't that much to do on the island. But as a pool, beach, odd trip to the local town (free bus from hotel) break it was a good relaxing holiday. Cost us about £3.5k for a family of four first week of August.

Now trying to find something similar but in a different location for next year so watching this thread with interest...

Faffingaboutonline · 18/08/2017 20:55

@ginforall was that for one week? Sounds lovely.

ohhelpohnoitsa · 18/08/2017 21:26

MARRIOT nr Puerto Banus fits your bill.

Yes faffing went for a week.

Makemineacabsauv · 05/09/2017 22:35

Corfu Villas can do this - you can even have a butler if you want, but you'll pay for it!

1busybee · 10/09/2017 18:50

Origo mare in fuerteventura is a great option. Own villas with pool to share between about 6 then a central area with more pools, a couple of water slides. Option for AI, HB, Etc. We did AI and loved the food. Kids went to the holiday club a couple of times and had a great time.
