Would this be ridiculous? (two nights, no hotel)

So basically a friend and I are looking at going away for a couple of nights very cheaply. We're both early 20s. We want a bit of fun, a bit of sun, but we're on a tight budget. We've seen flights to Ibiza for £80pp rtn, but the hotels are double that! We had the crazy notion to not book a hotel at all... so we would get a good rest at home on the morning of the first day, fly out at 4.30pm and land at 8.30pm, and would hit the bars/clubs straight away. I gather it's quite an all night scene so could party through to the morning. Then get some sun loungers on the beach and doze/sleep in the sun throughout the second day, and then go out again on the second night and then the flight home is at 1.20pm on the third day so we could go straight to the airport in the morning to wait for the flight.
Things to consider- would we be able to take smallish backpacks into the clubs, are there public showers on the beaches to shower during the day (albeit in bikinis), we'd have to be careful not to get too drunk as a hangover would be horrendous! The two of us could take turns to nap during the day to keep an eye on each other/valuables. I've been to festivals before and feel like it could be a similar feel to that?! Would this be awful/ridiculous, or a bit of a laugh and a cheaper way to have some fun/sun?? Grin

Thanks for all the replies! Mixed responses. I'll look into airbnb.

muggymum My parents? Err no, haven't mentioned it?! I'm 24 and married with a 3yo DD. Haven't lived with my parents since I moved out to go to Uni at 18.

Have you got spending money for Ibiza? It's crazy expensive. Clubs are extortionate and drinks are too. £50 entrance fees and £10/20 a drink.

Sounds like a fine plan to me if you are a clubber (I'm not). You could use the toilets in restaurants and beach bars (I'm assuming that you'll want to eat at some point).

Spanish beaches usually have toilets, but the showers aren't great, more for washing off sand than getting a proper shower. You might want to think about what your hair will look like on the second evening, but I would just tie it up anyway.

I wouldn't worry about getting robbed on the beach. We've had lots of Spanish beach holidays where we leave phones, car keys, money etc on the beach while we swim in the sea and have never had a problem.

But yes, Ibiza sounds expensive, but if you have the money for the clubbing and that's what you want, fine - or how about getting a hostel for the second night so you can have a shower and get a bit of kip in a proper bed for a few hours in the morning before you fly home?

You have to pay for sunbeds too, but you probably knew that anyway, they will provide a bit of shade, which will be needed!

I think by choosing Ibiza you'll end up spending as much as if you'd gone somewhere else and got a hotel. The clubs are so expensive you'll end up spending a lot anyway.

Likelihood is you're going to get really drunk (unless you don't drink), and you won't have a bed to go back to. I would book a hostel, you could get very burnt if you fall asleep in the sun.

The more I think about this the more I think just don't do it. I am 33 and need my creature comforts however - my own bed, hot tea in the morning, a hot shower...etc.
