My parents are looking for a holiday in October ideally. My dad is very obese . I don't think he will fit into the standard seats. He also has mobility problems as a consequence of that and a bad heart. My mum is the opposite- no health issues at all.
I'm trying to help them choose somewhere that won't be completely stressful to negotiate- any ideas?

Maybe a cruise starting and ending in the UK?

Thank you

Their main issue will be getting health insurance. Its needed for repatriation costs even if you have an E111 . Your DF would need to check if he can get insurance and how much it would cost .

Yes my mum did say that she felt they would need a high level of insurance.

Is it possible he wouldn't be able to get covered?

It's a bit frustrating because my dad doesn't take care of himself. He used to be fit abs healthy but he has put on so much weight - it's quite sad that he has reached the point where he won't fit into a plane seat.

First job is insurance. Tell everything and see what it costs.

There are no fly cruises from the UK. A cruise ship is a floating hospital and they are well set up for disabilities. Make sure the insurance covers cruising.

My neighbour is around 22 stone and he still fits into a plane seat. It's not comfortable but doable for a short flight.
Or book the Eurostar to southern France.
For the heart issue just to be sure it's best to ask your bank for an insurance quote.

I think he weighs more than 22 stone unfortunately.
