Hello- I'm completely rubbish at London having only ever struggled through it with luggage. Going for 3 days, two children 10 and 12,- arriving lunchtime first day and leaving 4pm the third day. Harry Potter is sold out , I have fond childhood memories of nature history museum , kids are up for most things really . Would really welcome ideas!

If you plan to go to the museums you need to be there at opening or there use it will be hideous - the crowds in the holidays are epic.

Worth booking skygarden for the view and go to Covent Garden for the street performers

*or else - bloody autocorrect

Our last touristy trip to London we 'borrowed' an 8 or 9 ish year old to give us an excuse to visit the London dungeon, and she loved it. After the dungeon we had booked a ride on the London eye, again she loved that, then we walked along the river watching street artist, mime, magic etc until we stumbled across a restaurant we liked. We also took a river bus just for the child to enjoy seeing London from the river, took the cable car over the river by the o2, HAD to show her Big Ben, Trafalga square, Houses of Parliament, fed squirrels in Greenwich park after standing over the meridian line and saw the Cutty Sark.

Never been to the Dungeon, cannt help with that one.

I was just going to recommend having a browse in the London topic (both for ideas and admin)

The Lion King/Wicked?

Thanks will look at that thread. We've just spent a fortune on Matilda tickets! I'm slightly beyond excited , keeping it as a surprise.

The dungeon was a little scarey, but we'd have been disappointed if it had not been. Not over the top, just enough to make us squeal in places.
I forgot to say, if you're in London with kids, you absolutely must take them to Hamleys toy shop too.
