Are pop-up travel cots ok for crawling/cruising 9mo?

Help! Need travel cot advice please, are the pop-up travel beds ok for a crawling/cruising 9mo? Usual umbrella fold travel cots are no good as I need to be able to lean in to resettle/bfeed without picking her up as once in arms she refuses to be put back down - even if I wait for her to fall asleep she'll wake the moment I try putting her down in a normal travel cot - but if I can lean in without picking up its a quick 5 min feed and she'll happily drift back off - co-sleeping is not an option unfortunately. The pop up beds or tents look ideal but are they ok with crawlers? Could she topple it? Thanks for reading.

In my experience they topple very easily and I stopped using mine as soon as she could roll let alone crawl

No. They act like Zorbs..

Thanks for your replies, would a nomad travel bed be ok or just as bad? Am running out of ideas and we're going away on sat Confused

Is there another bed where you are staying?

If so a bed guard on a bed pushed against wall. Then you can lay next to her to feed to sleep. Get up and pop up rail.

That's my plan for our holiday next month

We used a pop up travel cot until the DC were used to a proper bed. Never any problems.

Thanks Albuspercival but need something more containing, she's crawling but no sense of height/danger yet so is likely to try and climb over the bed rail if she wakes. We ended up putting her travel cot mattress on the floor last weekend, she slept fine but I didn't for worrying she'd crawl into trouble while I was asleep, was hoping a pod or sleep tent would contain her safely whilst also giving side access.

Thanks LadyMonicaBabbington, how was it when yours were crawling?

Sleep apnoea mat? Then you can use mattress on floor. If baby crawls off, alarm goes off.

It what we do at home basically

I mkight be too late responding to this, but we had a little life arc 2 - we used like a normal cot, and put dd in from the top, but the side zips off too, if you would prefer to enter and exit that way. It is also actually portable, unlike most travel cots (we took it on holiday on the train).

Thanks for all the replies everybody, much appreciated, have managed to find a genius solution. A proper travel cot that has a large zip opening in the mesh down the long side, it can't tip and the opening is plenty big enough to lean in for a cuddle/feed to resettle her without lifting her out of the cot. Arrived an hour ago so just in the nick of time before we leave tomorrow - I may get some sleep this holiday after all WineWine
