I know its a year away! But we've booked accommodation for next July and I'd like to know when to clear my cookies and book our flights! Easyjet, Ryanair etc. Does anyone know when they release the flights, is is a set number of days/months in advance? Right now I can only book up to March 2018

Many thanks!

I thought it was about 9 months which sounds right if you can book march!

I think it's usually Septemberish

BiddyPop · 18/07/2017 16:20

I believe 330 days ahead

If you download the Easyjet/Ryanair etc apps, you tend to get a ping when the dates open - I got a message this year on the day the Winter bookings opened up.

EasyJet will release March-June 2018 in September 2017; for 2017 it was October 2016, for 2016 it was Sept 2015.

In 2016 they released 2017 summer dates in early Nov, so extrapolating from that they might release 2018 summer dates this October.

Or not Grin I don't know if Easter dates have a bearing on that. Easter was late this year.

Some airlines have summer schedules available much sooner - I'm pretty sure when I was looking last summer for this June, Jet2's were already out.

Put your destination & dates into travelsupermarket to see what's already out there. (It'll be a lot dearer than easyJet on first release though)

Scheduled airlines usually release their flights much earlier than the budget ones. From memory I have booked summer flights with easyjet during the autumn half term holiday. I booked this summers flights with BA at the beginning of September and had a very good deal, it can be worth checking the prices of the larger airlines, budget arn't always the cheapest.

Depends where/when you're going of course Smile

I just looked up current available prices next year for the dates we flew this year - Manchester-Heraklion, on a Tuesday.
Thomas Cook £511
Jet2 £638
Olympic £667

Our easyjet flights, on the day of release, were £300 (& I missed the very cheapest!) Bags were extra.

Thanks so much for all the replies, I can have have a rest now (after the marathon searching to find accommodation!!) before I start looking at flights around September Smile

You can book with jet2 now, but how prices will vary over the next year, who knows?

Use skyscanner.net to see what's already available or if it's likely to be Ryanair, which are cheapest in my experience, it looks like you'll have to wait. The tip about signing up with the app to get first notification sounds like a good one.
