Easiest/cheapest centre parcs/eurocamp type places in Northern Europe?

I know this is all totally googlable, but any recommendations would save me a lot of time!

Are there any of the above type places that are easy to get to without driving? DH could drive us, but I'm so stupidly anxious on foreign roads that it's nicer not to.

Or any places that are so amazingly worth a bit more effort? We've got some unexpected time off this summer so I'm looking for a last minute holiday that hopefully won't skint us.

I'm thinking probably northern France, but I think I've seen holland recommended on here too?

Any advice gratefully received Flowers

We've used Landals twice now and had two very different, but excellent parks. Both parks were in The Netherlands so driving from Calais was easy.

I haven't been but somewhere we've been looking at is Lalandia in Denmark. You can fly to Billund airport and it's (I think) about a 10/15 min taxi ride from there. Plus it's next door to Legoland if that's somewhere that might interest you too.

Duinrell in Holland. Either a 30km drive from the ferry at Rotterdam or fly to Amsterdam and get a train/taxi from there. Once on site there is loads to do without driving and you can hire bikes to get about to the beach, train station etc. Being Holland cycling is safe and enjoyable.

If you use Tesco to shop you can look at turning Clubcard points into vouchers for camp site (e.g. Thomson alfresco)

Bumping

Anyone else know of any that are dead near to airports?

Pierre et Vacances - sites in Picardy and Le Touquet are less than an hour along autoroute. Other sites are dotted around France and beyond, and some may be close to airports.

Les mouettes is really close to roscoff ferry port and is an excellent site.

Lalandia at Billund is soooo close to the airport (which isn't busy so no real noise- think we had to get a Ryannair flight from Stansted). Legoland also opens up for everybody about an hour before closing time (worth double-checking what time, but we've always managed a couple of rides). The lodges are lovely, but most are a few minutes walk from the waterpark/indoor area.

The Germans and Danish go back to school before England, so prices really drop (it is worth playing around with dates/lodge combos; the posher lodges have always come up cheaper for us).

OP the same thing re dates will apply to Netherlands/France/Belgium. We've been to Sunparks (a cheaper version of CP in Europe) at De Haan on the Belgian coast. That might be worth a look as it was about an hour away from Dunkirk (the ferry was really cheap...unlike the one we took to Denmark once, but we are still sad that it has gone). The only euro CP we have done are more of a drive.

One thing I noticed in my European bookings was that we weren't always stuck with the 3 day weekends/4 day midweeks (we used booking.com for Sunparks). If you time ferries/flights right that might give you what feels like an extra day (as you always seem to be able to access all the facilities at this sort of place before/after you can get to your rooms).
