Eurocamp with small kids - advice please

Would love some advice please.

We are looking to go on our first holiday away with the kids next year. They will be 5 and 3. We've been looking into Eurocamp, most likely somewhere in France at the moment but very much open to elsewhere.

Eurocamp have their 'Mini Parcs' which are aimed at babies/toddlers - should we choose one of those or would any of the other parks work just as well?

Does anyone have any recommendations on where would be best?

Any help would be much appreciated. We're coming from Ireland so limited to where we can fly into.

Thanks!

You will bloody love Eurocamp! I used to rep for them back in the day. We didn't have mini parcs then, but I guess how often you'd want to entertain yourselves as opposed to using the parc (no right/wrong answer)

We're at St Avit de Loisirs just now, in an air-conditioned home & loving it - there's a playground, kids club for 4+ & fab water park. Plus aquarium & things to do in nearby Le Bugue.

The specific mini parcs are aimed at preschoolers visiting outside UK school holidays so their extra activities may not even be on when you're there, and I guess you're beyond needing the free travel cot / potty / high chair they offer.

Look carefully at what's on each parc and how much driving you want/ need to do. We went to a gorgeous one at a chateau in the middle of nowhere - apart from the pool there wasn't very much to do and with older dc we'd have had to do lots of driving for days out.
One that was walkable to town, cafes and beach suited us much better and meant less driving.

We stayed at les sablons recently which was fab. Great swimming pools, fab beach at the edge of the camp. My boys loved the children's disco. Take scooters if your dc like getting about on them.

There's loads of space plus playgrounds etc.

We flew to montpellier and hired a car (50 mins drive) but you can fly to Beziers (ten minutes away I think).
We definitely be going again. The cabin was well equipped for young children too.

I stayed at Chateau de Marais in the Loire when my two were 1 and 3 and it was great. Even better was Parco delle Piscine in Tuscany when they were 3 and 5. We stayed in tents both times which we love, but I know not a lot of people prefer a mobile home.

We drove to the one in France, breaking the journey in Reims on the way down and Honfleur on the way back (out via Dover/Calais, back Le Havre/Portsmouth). Honfleur is absolutely gorgeous.

For Italy, we flew in and out of Pisa with Ryanair and took public transport all the way to the camp, stopping for two nights in Florence on the way down and a night in Pisa on the way back. (The leaning tower is incredible but the non-stop hassle we got from people trying to sell us tat in the street was a turn off). We managed with hand luggage only, as we'd booked bedding as an extra - the kids had Trunkis.

More recently, I've done Portsmouth-Le Havre for an October half term break at La Vallee in Normandy which was really easy to get to. The kids (then 5 and 7) loved it and there was more in the way of organised activities than at the other two parks. We stayed in a mobile home, which was really good. You can walk to the beach which is massive. And lovely Honfleur is nearby.

Typo - a lot of people prefer a mobile home.

Thank you all, it's great to have feedback like this. I think we might look at all the parks available rather than limit ourselves to the mini parcs, like you say we'll be out of most of the baby needs by then so priority should be somewhere with stuff to do.

Off to nosy at all the parks recommended so far. Thanks!

Fab holiday idea with toddlers!! We went to Parc Albatros on the Tuscan coast with our little one when he was 21 months about this time last year and had an awesome time! We booked with canvas holidays as was a little cheaper. Pools were great, shady playground, mini golf, delicious pizza, bike hire with baby seats..:: lovely beaches within 10 minutes drive. We didn't bother doing anything cultural in the end!!

We'd definitely do similar again, just our new baby hates the car so limiting our options...
