Used blue ink - passport

I have signed my part (the applicant) in blue ink. My countersignatory has signed in black. I have searched the instructions and see the following:

"Fill in the following in CAPITAL LETTERS and in BLACK INK." appears just before the countersiganture part, NOT the upper bit.

Do you think I'll be OK, or shall I do it again?

Can you go over the blue in black?

Isadora2007 · 13/06/2017 21:50

I'm sure the whole form is to be in black.

rightsofwomen · 13/06/2017 21:58

Isadora, can you point me to where that info is?

It's read by a computer I seem to remember, it has to be in black.

Or would you rather it was returned to you to redo?

So why not put it at the top of the form more clearly, rather than just before the counter signature section.

Shouldn't matter really unless they are super picky

It's in the guidance booklet, in my experience they'll send you a new form to fill in if you send that one off.

Complain, I mean how dare they insist on what colour ink you must use

really the cheek of them!

rightsofwomen · 14/06/2017 07:11

tonde you don't need to be so rude!
My point is that I don't see where they have insisted the top part be in black ink.

I will do the form again, it's not worth risking it being sent back.
