Thanks

I went a few years back with my mate who loves gardens/plants and my three children who were then 13, 9 and 5. TBH she loved it and we hated it, it was hot, sticky, crowded, my hair frizzed cos of the humidity, and I am of the opinion that if you've seen one plant, you've seen 'em all

Sorry!! I'm sure you will get loads of positive reaction as well, I suppose it depends what sort of things you like doing. One word of advice tho - don't go on a rainy day as it will be more crowded than ever and there are things to do outside.

Hi, I went a few years ago and was blown away by it. We went on a thursday morning or something to escape the crowds. My brother was abit like lilibet about the first dome which was all about plants, I think he found me admiring chickpeas abit bizarre, but he loved the tropical one. I am planning to go again in september to see how it has progressed. Try and avoid the crowds.

We went in May with our 3.5yr and 21 mth old dd's. They both really enjoyed it. There's all kinds of BIG sculptures and lots of little paths to follow. A fantastic big sandpit and willow playarea. They loved the temperate dome, but dd1 complained about the tropical dome until she found out that she could stand in the water sprays and have lots of drinks from the drinking fountains (dd2 slept through the tropical dome!). There's a tractor ride up to the top and a bus to take you back up the hill to your car if you're in one of the far away carparks, (it will bring you down from your car too although we just walked down the hill. It is very steep in parts but is fully pushcvhair accessible. We had only expected to spend about 3 or 4 hours there and ended up spending about 8.... We thought it was really fantastic and highly recommend it.
Hope you enjoy it too.

We went just before Christmas two years ago. Very wet, cold and windy - thought the inside bits would keep us warm and at least we were not troubed by crowds! This tactic worked in terms of the crowds so were able to see and move around easily but didn?t realise how much walking there was to do from car parks to the domes. Good weather is def. preferable, decent walking shoes for all otherwise really good. Great for little ones to see how chocolate is grown, to touch and sniff the pods etc. Have fun xxx

To avoid crowds go on a Saturday which is when most holiday makers leave/arrive. Buy tickets in advance from tourist information places.

There's a good website with lots of info on.
Good for kids to explore. Agree about the long walk from car park to domes thou'

We went there a couple of years ago and were underwhelmed to say the least - I am in the lilibet camp.

We really enjoyed it with DS who was 11 weeks or so. Great for pushchairs and no cars. Would be good for a toddler.

It was a couple of years ago but the literature then said to avoid Wednesdays (?) as that's when the coach trips descended. Would be worth checking that out.
