Flying Qatar at 22 weeks

Evening all,
So I'll be flying to the Maldives , LDN HRW via Doha in August , when I'll be 22 weeks pregnant, with my partner.

What are my chances of an upgrade , if any ?! I am a bit worried about the changeover at Doha as it'll be at quarter to 1 in the morning 🤔 for about an hour and a bit and I'm wondering where we will sit etc. This is a really special trip for us (engagement out there and final holiday before dc2 is born) and I want it to be as restful as possible , as well as the fact that I have barely flown , and want to make the most out of our journey!!
Thanks

Thanks all,
The only other questions I have are ...

What shall I wear for the flight for optimum comfort ? I've heard about cashmere trousers but where sells them at the moment ?

And also , can you take a cabin bag and a handbag on Qatar ?

You can take a carryon and a handbag and if you wish, a hunting falcon.
On my last flight with Qatar there were three in economy.

A falcon! Now that's an idea..

Cashmere trousers sounds a bit bonkers to me. They will probably get itchy and sweaty. And don't forget you will be transiting through Doha in the most extreme weather imaginable (at 1am the humidity is at its highest and it is EVIL) and it's possible you might have a bus gate instead of an airbridge so you might be exposed to it.

QR crew also have a habit of cranking the temperature up on board to send the passengers to sleep. Plus the heat at Male airport is pretty intense.

I'd not worry about style and go for stretchy, comfy layers instead.

Oh and QR are very relaxed about carry on, you can basically take as much as you can carry!

I second the clothing, just go in something comfortable. I tend to wear my bikini instead of undies as I transfer by seaplane at maleand sometimes depending on how many people are on the seaplane your bags may arrive later. At least if you have swimwear on (or put it in your hand luggage at male) you can get straight on the sunbed or pool Smile
