Recommendations for long haul airline ticket

Need to book return flight from Manchester to Cambodia (Phnom Penh) for dd who's helping in camp from mid June for a month
Where is best place to buy ticket?... used travelbag and trailfinders in the past.....
Also best airline for connections etc....seen a Cathay Pacific flight for £682 with stopover in Hong Kong....know Eithiad is cheaper but there are 2 changes and lots of potential for missing connections!( dd has dyspraxia and dyslexia so the fewer changes the better!!)

Cathay Pacific are very good. I normally book with the airline directly.

She's 20 and flew to Bangkok and on to Koh Samui last summer ( but was with bf) this will be her fist solo long haul
The flight from Manchester to Phnom Penh is via HongKong and only one stop on way out but way back she'd stop at Hong Kong and then Gatwick to fly up from Heathrow- Manchester and I don't think there enough time between flights to make connection....think we may have to pick her up from Gatwick! ( the more direct flight is about £300 more!)

I flew to NZ in 2006 (22) on my own and had a fuel stop in shanghai on the way out and Bangkok on the way back, she'll be fine though. The airline crew can keep an eye out if you like and put her in a seat near to them. It will be scary but a massive confidence boost for her and something to put down on a CV.

After speaking to trailfinders I managed to get a v good deal, with return leg from Hong Kong in Premium economy with Cathay Pacific in one of their new A350's
Thoroughly recommend Trailfinders, their knowledge of the countries is amazing

Just the obvious reminder about the specialist travel insurance needed.

Just got couple of booster vaccinations to get apply for visa and complete her TEFL course and she'll be off!

Please please check that insurance! Multi trip cover has limits on time for each trip and probably doesn't cover volunteering.

Yup she's fully covered thanks- she's away for less than a month in Cambodia and has £10,000,000 medical emergency& repatriation cover

Sorry to bang on, but are they happy that she is working? This invalidates many policies.

Ah, world nomads. Pricey but all the cover needed for workers and volunteers. She needs to stay away from crocodiles but is fine with air guitar.

More seriously, if she gets on a motorbike (best not) no helmet, no insurance , and as always, drunk or drugged no cover.
24/7 d e e t and she is good to go.
