Anyone know Rome well? Where to stay?

We're going to be in Rome for 1.5-2 days this summer and looking at Airbnb for somewhere to stay.

Would appreciate any advice for which areas are pretty central and good to stay in for a short trip with DC!

If your 9 year old is like mine were at that age, then try the Capuchian Crypt. Displays of patterns made from the bones of dead monks. Very macabre!

My DS was 9 when we were there in the summer. It was ridiculously hot so I wouldn't try to do too much. We just did the coliseum, a quick look at the roman forum and the Trevi fountain. We were only there for one day.

Make sure you take hats.

Ah, my Airbnb is no longer listed , that said if you are time area near the square you can't go wrong. Walking distance to everything.
