Trying to use Avios.
We've only got a week and there's no availability direct but we could go via ME. DH thinks it's nuts but I think it'd be ok. Club if that makes a difference.

For me it would depend on the time difference as much as anything. Jet lag can be a killer if it's more than around 5 hours. Depends how much you are planning to do when you get there though.

Being in Club class (that's business class right?) makes a massive difference because you can actually sleep and relax a bit.

Doha is the best place ever to stopover as it has a separate building for 1st and Club class.

There are several restaurants, both buffet and service, lounges with day beds and screens, a room with massage chairs, bars, and of course everything's included in the price.

When dh took me there I still didn't know when we got to Doha about where the final destination was which just added to the excitement :-)
