Am thinking of a 2 week New England holiday flying in and out of Boston next summer.

Got great advice last year re California so thought I would ask you all for recommendations on places to visit and things to do.

We love nature, cycling, swimming, bodyboarding, waterfalls, national parks, whale watching etc.

Got 3 boys, 2 are teens.

Thank you so much for some awesome suggestions on this thread! I'm going to end up in the Boston area for several days in July and I cannot wait!
I'm doing two days in Boston, one in Salem, four in Plymouth (over July 4th!) and my final night in Provincetown before I get a ferry back to Boston for my flight home.

We did a motorbike tour of New England, the highlight for me was whale watching in Provincetown, we saw four species of whale in one day. Absolutely incredible.

Enjoy!

I have been to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Not many Brits seem to make it up there but it is so worth the drive - absolutely gorgeous! Cadillac Mountain at sunset and kayaking in Somes Sound are very special family memories.

I love Cape Cod too, but it can get insanely crowded. We stayed in a house in Dennis once and went camping in Sandwich another time. Love Corporation beach with small children.

Thanks Ashers.

Decided against Maine. Going to spend 2 nights in Boston and a night in Mystic on our way back to NY.

I would love to go to Bar Harbor but will have to be another trip sometime. Not enough days unfortunately!
