Ok..just wanted to know about the wristbands for the pleasure beach. Have 2 children 6 and 4..is it worth getting them a wristband or is it better just to get a handful of tickets when we get there?
Thanks

Much as I hate to answer a thread calling for Blackpool experts, I did go toteh pleasure beach a couple of times in the summer

I didn't buy the wrist bands, bought £20 worth of tickets for my 7 yo DD and 2 yo DS, DH & I went on a couple of rides (with DD), a lot of hte rides for littlies are 1 token each.

The huge horse ride (gallopers? Similar) - not steeplechase or carousel is VERY exciting, even for adults, but I think an adult needs to sit on same horse as a young child for this one as it goes very fast.

Mamagrr..still got your hat on??

I can get wristbands for 10 each if buying online for me and DH and then get tickets on the day for DS 6 and 4 or is that a waste?.

Would 20 pounds worth of tickets do on the day for all of us or thereabouts.

Sorry for all the questions..just trying to be a saver queen!

Would you and DH go on a lot of rides? I think there are different sorts of wristbands too, (Def for children - e.g. just beaver creek rather than all rides), maybe its the same for adults?

IF you will go on a lot of rides and the wristbands let you go on everything, then £10 each is good value for you and DH, e.g. pepsi max rollercoaster is 6 or 7 tokens each. When we spent £20 for all four of us, DH and I went on one ride each with DD, then the kids when on about 6 rides each.

I did notice they were quite strict about wristbands too, a family tried to og on the river caves (boat thing) with 2 dcs, their ds lookd about 4 and had a beaver creek wristband and even though the rest of the family had "full" ones, they wouldn't let them on.

You can use Tesco deals tokens for Blackpool ,if you have any vouchers(and enough time)

pointydog · 02/02/2007 17:57

Do you mean a children's wristband for beaver creek? Are you planning on staying the whole day? I'd've thought wristbands would be better for the whole day especially as little kids like going on the same things over and over and over.

mamgrr - was that the Derby? Horses flying in mid air style but very jerky? That was fab!

MamaGrr · 02/02/2007 19:08

it might have been called derby, I can't remember - it does sound like that one

Does anyone know how much the tickets are? We want to take the kids this weekend but have just missed the end of the off-peak season. We can use our Tesco vouchers but had only planned to be there for a couple of hours as DD is 5 and DS is 2.

Wondered if tickets would be more economical but as we will obviously have to go on the rides with DC anyway maybe we'd be better off with wristbands. It depends on how much they are to buy per ticket.
