Win some, lose some - as in most bets.

Euro hasn't fared as badly as I expected, it's still at 1.21 which I actually think would be a fairly reasonable position to buy at.

I was lucky though - I woke up at 4.30 to check on the results, saw which way it was going and managed to secure our holiday money at 1.27.

I'm due to be going to a family wedding in US in September. I'm just hoping the dollar rate doesn't get too much worse.

We held off, for other reasons unrelated to this, and then suddenly panicked and remembered mid week. But too late to get any - and yesterday not everywhere was letting you do it either.

And now, well :(

Three weeks till we go away - I'm hoping it will rise a bit again, but I know it won't reach what it was. So, will lose out regardless now, but hopefully it won't go down any more.
