Is Florida in August too Hot?

We're planning a Disney holiday for 2017 and between school, work and finances it looks like we may have to go in August.
I'm really worried about the heat. Average temps of 33 scare me tbh and I'd much rather go at Easter. All of us burn easily and I'm worried the heat affect our enjoyment.
Has anyone been in August and found it ok? Particularly if you are like me and not a 'hot weather' person?

When do Americans return to school in August?

It varies by state and school district. In my district in Florida, it is August 10.

I go every second year with my brother and his wife. This year we are there the last week of August for two weeks. That's usual for us.

I don't find it too hot or too humid because current temps where I live are 50 degrees. But neither do my brother and his wee who live in Scotland.

The parks are full of people having a smashing time in the temps you mentioned. What would you do if you got a few weeks of 33 degree heat in the UK? Would your life come to a halt or would you just live around it?

Re the rain? I was once soaked through so badly that my Tena panty liner took on the proportions of a loofah. It felt like one as well.

But, we like the rain, and it doesn't rain everyday, so we still have a great time the thunder and lightening storms are also pretty amazing.

Don't overthink the weather although I know it's a very British thing to do.

Just go. Sort your day out once you get there and have a great time.

"Are the last couple of weeks of July any better?"

No. We have just returned from Florida. It was 33 - 36 degrees every day with high humidity. One morning my glasses steamed up as we left the hotel as it was so humid.

I was fine, but 16 year old DD struggled with the heat and humidity.
