DD (8) is now hugely into the Harry Potter books - currently reading the prisoner of Azkaban. Would love to take her on the Studio tour as her birthday treat day out. What time would people recommend booking for - we would have to go at the weekend as I work FT. Is Sunday better than Saturday?

Ooh thank you. The kits sound fabulous. We have plenty of time. It's not till mid September - I am a planner !!

Not really a big deal but the sweets I got from Amazon had different packaging to the ones at the studios were not that cheap. The beans were authentically disgusting though - ds refused to risk any more after the vomit one Grin

sorry mini-hijack. I was coming on to ask about taking my DS, also 8, also reading the books but wanted to ask if it will spoil it for him if he hasn't read/seen them all yet, we are up to order of the phoenix. will going on the tour give away some of the later plot lines?
thnx

As fruit says it's a good idea to have seen the films before you go. Even if you've seen them before I'd suggest watching one a week in the run up to when you go. It will also build up the excitement (not sure if that's a good thing)!

thanks, might wait until later in the year then, the rate he is getting through the books we ought to be done by then and we are only letting watch the film once he has read the book
