Travelling with Aspergers teenager - advice sought

My husband and I want to go the the Caribbean or Indian Ocean this year with my 13-year old son who has Aspergers Syndrome. He's really too old to share a room with us for 2 weeks but cannot be in a room on his own as he wanders off and gets confused and distressed in a strange place. Basically, we want a door between ourselves and him at night, for privacy on both sides, but security so that he can't get out without alerting us! We really need either a suite with 2 bedrooms, or a sitting area with sofa bed which can be closed off from the main bedroom, or interconnecting rooms where we can lock the door to the outside in his room. None of the hotel websites or brochures seem to offer anything like this, and I wonder if there is anyone out there who has stayed in a hotel with these facilities and can offer any guidance?

We had a suite that had inter-connecting door to next room at Westin Grand Bahama, though kids had access to balcony from their room. In St Lucia had a mini villa at Jalousie (then a Hilton - not now so may have changed) - hall, bathroom, our bedroom and small room with single bed and sofa bed. Don't think they had door to garden from their room. Though if he wandered out he'd actually be outside so might be worse for him. As a family of 6 we always phone up hotels direct. They often have a lot more room specifications than they advertise.
