Breastfeeding in Singapore?

I'm off to Australia in March with DS who will be 4 and a half months old and exclusively BF. We're stopping off in Singapore for 4 days en route. Just wondering whether Singapore is a BF frisndly culture and whether I can expect to be able to feed in restaurants etc? DH is Australian and seems to think Aus is much more BF-friendly than UK. Any one have experiences in either place?

think Singapore should be a rather BF friendly country, there are a lot of Singaporean websites selling BF tops etc and encouraging BF. Haven't been to Singapore in over 10 years tho.

A couple of years ago BF made the headlines in Singapore as a guard ushered out a mum and her baby from some event.. led to huge discussions.

Generally they are for BF, but they like a mum to use some discretion, so many malls will have baby rooms with a chair set up for breastfeeding. I used to see some mums drape a muslin cloth over their shoulder and head of baby, but always thought that was a bit OTT, guess it's avoid any flop the boob out and announce to the world type actions really
best to avoid!

You should be fine!

oops that should be your ds.

the only hassle I had re breastfeeding was from a sourfaced old couple at a bowls club we had gone to for dinner. Dd2 was screaming as she was hungry and so I started to feed her in this lounge area - knowing no parents room in this building. The old lady of the couple almost broke her neck trying to give me foul looks. I just smiled back. Given that we were the only people in the lounge area when this couple arrived and they chose to sit right next to us - toddler and a newborn - not my issue.

fed both my kids on Singapore Stopovers, with no problems.
You may think now that you'll be flopping your norks out all over the show but in fact you'll be able to time it around beinng in your hotel room or finding a shady spot in one of the many parks there.
