Which airline to Oz has best business class if you need to sit next to your children? Help!

We are off to OZ/NZ for 6 weeks next Christmas. We are going to push the boat out and go business class if possible. 2 adults and 3 children. They are all very well behaved but my youngest who is 4 is quite scared of flying after a traumatic turbulence experience last year. I have to sit very close and be able to cuddle up if the plane gets turbulent as she always wants to sit on my lap but obviously has to be tucked into her own seatbelt.

A lot of the configurations of business class however make it so that you cannot see/touch the person next to you and have complete privacy. Has anyone flown business with kids where they were able to hold hands/cuddle their children next to them?? A #firstworldproblem i know, but nevertheless the advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes, I usually stopover on the way there but not on the way back. We stay at the Furama in Singapore. It was recommended to us and it is fabulous, the staff have always been wonderful. There is a pool on about the 5/6 th floor, outdoor. You are above the humidity there so it is great. Never been busy either, we often have the pool to ourselves. It is a bit more pricey but worth it. I book it direct with the hotel and you can get a bit of discount if you ask.
We have eaten in the hotel but usually go down to the waterfront restaurants. The Botanical Gardens are worth a visit as the orchids are so beautiful.
If you have a few hours before your next flight there is a pool at the airport and for a small fee you can use it and we have done this and it is very refreshing. There are small rooms you can go for a sleep in as well.

I will say be careful as they turn the plane around quickly and sometimes change the time for an earlier schedule. Unless they have rectified it (I did tell them) you cannot hear some of the messages in the top restaurant in the airport. We nearly missed the plane once, there were about 6 families and a Dr ( who missed her flight) who hadn't heard. Luckily I checked the board and saw we had been called to gate. Lower down they were calling out the names of the families but where we had gone for soup you couldn't hear. The food is fantastic, have the chicken soup it is very restorative. They do veggie too.
