Where should 2 quiet 18yo girls go on holiday in Spain?

They want a beach, not too many clubs/pubs

Possibly all inclusive, not a going out & getting drunk holiday, definitely close to a beach

I think they should get a package (for safety)

Any ideas?

Of course Smile

Just realised that it says Fuertaventura in my post but it's actually Fuengirola Confused not sure how that happened.

I'm sure your DD wouldn't plan to go on holiday with her friend unless they were sure. It wouldn't be worth risking the money; when are they thinking of booking?

Manopaws · 06/01/2016 23:44

Benidorm is great for everyone.

tell them to go borrow a rough guide from the library and see where looks interesting/suitable. It will be clear which are the kiddy drunk places.

they can book a package, or do the flight/transfer/hotel independently. They buy the insurance immediately they do that.

dont do package, its so nice to wander around the town and share a few tapas and they may even meet someone nice and arrange meet ups etc.. get so much more out of a holiday if you are not locked in to your compound. valencia is nice too, good beach, not a big and busy as barcelona but more to it that just a beach resort. and plenty of young people. pollensa they may feel a bit out of place, either grannies or bucket and spade brigade.

AnyFucker · 12/01/2016 20:26

fuengirola ? torremolinos ?

they will be with the grannies and the toddlers Shock

(no offence Nicki Grin )

There is no culture, no excitement, just meh

At least Greece would be a bit more authentic. I would recommend Tsilivi in Zante. A small island, easy to get around. Medium resort but family friendly. Lots of bars and a couple of clubs. 15 mins from the airport. Sorted. Tell them to get to Banana Beach for the day.

I think you are mistaken about what a package holiday entails Mrsbond.

It's just a way of booking a flight, accomodation and transfer all in one go, instead of separately. You can book B&B or self catering packages and still get to wander out for tapas, no-one is locked into a compound Smile

If going to popular holiday resorts, it can be cheaper than booking separately and can involve exactly the same accomodation, flights etc.

And even in places like Benidorm, it is possible to avoid the big all exclusive hotels, stay in a small hotel and get tapas in the old town.

There's plenty of culture and authenticity in Spain, it isn't all All Inclusive pissed Brits if you know which areas to avoid. Just look at the 'young and lively' section of any holiday website and don't go to any of the resorts featured.

OP, do easyjet go from Stansted - they do packages.
