Ferry to France, and sea sickness

Hiya,

We did the standard Dover to Calais on a DFDS ferry, first ever time on a ferry for me across the channel - whether was awful, and I spent most of time time feeling really sign Envy

We are planning a holiday to South Brittany next year, and thinking of the Plymouth to Roscoff crossing instead. The only thing which puts me off is the sea sickness. Is there anything I can do or take to prevent it?

Thanks

Take the Eurotunnel, it's brilliant.

I hate ferries, so we always go by tunnel, 35 minutes, amazing.

I swore never to go on a ferry again after annual holidays to Scottish Island as child Grin

We're doing Plymouth to Roscoff on Wednesday. I've got some cinnarizine tablets which I'm really hoping are going to do the job as last crossing I was breastfeeding and couldn't take anything which was when I vowed never to do the ferry crossing again
Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks both,

Dismal, we don't fancy the almost 8 hour drive the other side (especially as it takes us almost 5 hours to get to Dover!).

Good luck for Wednesday, be interested to know how it goes Grin

We drive seven hours to Folkestone, stay there or in Calais. and then drive twelve hours Smile Told you I hate ferries!

Bonsoir!
Pleased to report cinnarazine worked a treat on the ferry crossing and no discernible side effects, I'd recommend them.

We have done the Plymouth - Roscoff sailing every summer for the past 7 years and have managed with a moderately seasick DP and a pretty badly seasick DD with no problems (apart from one memorable crossing when she threw up all over her brother's head from the top bunk Shock but that was before we knew she was prone to travel sickness!).
DP is fine after taking Stugeron (cinnarizine) and DD combines that with the wrist bands. Et voilà! Smile
