WorkOlive, you're not mad not to do AI if your holiday requirements involve leaving the resort - all my AI friends just go to the resort and stay there for the duration of their holiday. They could be absolutely anywhere. It's not my cup of tea at all.

If that doesn't appeal don't waste your money.

Stella Palace in Crete last year and Voyage Torba in Turkey this year both had excellent food although Stella Palace had 2 al la carte restaurants and a main buffet restaurant which had daily themes whereas the Voyage Torba had a main buffet restaurant which was pretty much the same all the time but had 7 al la carte restaurants to choose from all with delicious food. in one week we did not get to eat in them all but what we did have was very good.

Have to say I don't get Ai at all would be my idea of hell. Have done two half board holidays in resorts in my adult life and hated every moment. But each to their own. B&b or SC all the way for us
